Applications in Slate are organized into populations around units that read and work on applications similarly:
    • By School/Unit– Example: the School of Mechanical Engineering, which would be all applications that are associated with that department code in Banner.
    • By Interdisciplinary programs - Example: the Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction, which crosses 4 schools / units – which would be all HCI applications no matter what department code
    • There are a small number of populations outside these combinations:
      • The MSCS program is split into two populations: one for online, one for on-campus.
      • The GTPE supported programs, which cross multiple departments and campuses but are supported by one department.
    • There are also Inquiry populations for each (any record that is not a submitted application).
